Title: Network Engineer
Location: (Seattle, WA / Arlington, VA US)
Duration: 12 months potential for extension/conversion to FTE
Pay Rate: $60 - $ 65/hr
Must Have:
- Technical Expertise
- DWDM Optical Networks
- In-depth understanding of DWDM transport networks, including design, planning, and implementation.
- Knowledge of how DWDM networks are built, connected, and integrated with IP router layers.
IP Networking:
- Strong understanding of router and switch connectivity within large-scale networks.
- Ability to assess the implications of changes on both DWDM and IP layers.
- Hands-On Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in designing, planning, and implementing DWDM optical networks.
- Proven experience in large-scale production networking environments.
- Hands-on experience with site outages, validations, and installations.
Automation Skills
- Basic Python scripting skills
- Ability to read and understand existing code.
- Make small adjustments to scripts as needed.
- Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks used in network operations.
