Job Title: Contracts Specialist
Location: Newark, NJ 07105
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Range: $50/hr to $55/hr without benefits and PTO.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Contract Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, negotiating, drafting, and interpreting contracts of varying scope and complexity. They will also execute various supplier contractual agreements in accordance with corporate policies and provide advice and training for other contract functions.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and build consensus on commercial contracts.
- Advise clients and management on potential risks and opportunities related to contract negotiations.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area (i.e., Business Administration, Law, etc).
- Juris Doctor or paralegal certification is a plus.
- Prior paralegal experience or in-house legal experience highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of direct experience in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in IT licensing, maintenance and support services, finance, insurance, treasury, and leasing transactions.
- Experience in the healthcare industry, insurance company regulation, M&A, corporate governance, and subsidiary maintenance is a plus.
- Personal and professional attributes critical to successful performance for Individual Contributors include customer focus and accountability.
