Role Title: IPD Intern (Intellectual Property Department Intern) – Seasonal Hire

Project Duration:

10 weeks – Starting June 16 or June 23

Work Schedule:

• Hybrid (Remote + Onsite)
• 40 hours/week
• One mandatory onsite week in San Diego (typically week 8 or 9)
• Travel, room, and board for the onsite week fully covered

Target Candidates:

• GPA of 3.0+ strongly preferred
• Interest in law school and becoming a patent attorney (pre-law students, current law students, or candidates involved in legal clubs/mock trials)
• No prior patent or legal experience required

Program Objective:

• Educational internship to expose participants to the patent lifecycle
• Weekly mentorships with patent attorneys covering different aspects of IP
• Team-based projects with weekly check-ins and assignments
• Designed to build awareness and interest in patent law careers

Interview Process:

• Three virtual interviews with attorneys from the IP department

Location Flexibility:

• Candidates from anywhere in the U.S. are eligible
• Flexible scheduling to accommodate different time zones

• Resume and Cover Letter (Cover letter should convey interest in patent law/career goals)
