Title: Production Planner

Location: Boston, MA (Westborough) 

Pay Rate: $40/hr

Duration: 9 months 

Materials manager responsibilities:

Day to day

• Manage end-to-end material flow, from supplier receipt to lineside delivery.
• Develop and maintain the Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
• Establish visual management systems and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor production schedules, communicate status, and address potential issues.
• Coordinate material staging and replenishment plans.
• Partner with Production Planning to ensure on-time job completion.
• Act as primary contact for schedule execution and can-build status.

Must haves:

• 3+ years of experience in production planning.
• Deep understanding of advanced planning strategies and replenishment processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proficient in supply chain management tools and technologies, including SQL and data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies.

Plusses:

• Certified Kinaxis Author or Advanced User certification.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and process optimization.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies in the supply chain and logistics space (e.g. IoT, machine learning).
• Master's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related technical discipline.
