Key Hiring Preferences & Requirements
- Role Title: QC Analyst (Chemist I)
- Education Required:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry (preferred) or related science fields (Biochemistry, Physics, Biomedical, etc.)
- Note: Master’s degree holders are considered overqualified but may be reviewed if expectations align.
- Experience Level:
- Ideal: 0–3 years (entry-level to junior)
- Open to fresh grads with lab/internship experience
- Industry experience (pharmaceutical, food, environmental labs, etc.) is a plus
- Overqualified (7–20+ years): resumes can be submitted if expectations are clearly outlined
- Technical Skills Preferred:
- HPLC experience is a major plus
- Familiarity with empower 3 software, LabWare, or other LIMS is a bonus but not required
- Understanding of analytical instrumentation and basic SOPs
- Soft Skills Emphasized:
- Strong time management
- High attention to detail

- In-person Panel Interview – a bench chemist, and possibly another manager
- In-person preferred to allow candidates to view the lab
- Timeline to Hire:
- Position needed to be filled ASAP
- Conversion to full-time depends on performance and availability of openings, typically evaluated after 1 year but can happen earlier

- Entry-level QC analytical testing of finished pharmaceutical products
- Involves tests like:

- Dissolution

- Disintegration
- Initially includes technician-level work like glassware prep & chemical receiving
- Training Duration: ~6–8 weeks
- Full independence typically reached at ~6 months
- Reporting; will work with a team of 10 bench chemists
- Training led by a senior analyst with 10+ years’ experience
