We are Hiring BIM Engineers!!

Title: BIM Engineer

Engagement type: 6 Contract to hire

Location: Onsite 5x a week - Austin, Texas 

Rate range: 65-70/hr 

Day to day:

• Collabera is seeking a BIM Engineer with an industrial manufacturing background to support the design and construction of a cutting-edge battery chemical plant, with one of the largest Electric Vehicle Manufacturers in the world.
• This role demands expertise in developing and managing detailed 2D and 3D models for complex process systems, with a strong emphasis on piping layout, sizing, and isometric drawing production.
• The ideal candidate will be proficient in Autodesk Plant 3D, leveraging 3D point cloud laser scanning, using data to validate designs, detect clashes, and implement equipment that is compliant with their federated model.
• You will lead equipment's physical and operational coordination across multiple disciplines and hands on integrate it, resolve spatial conflicts, and contribute to the standardization of BIM workflows, all while driving efficiency and constructability in an industrial manufacturing facility.
• Lastly, there will be heavy collaboration with engineers to review and retrofit process piping, addressing any layout or installation issues.

Must Haves:

• 3-10 years of experience as a BIM Engineer with a mechanical focus
• 3-10 years of experience with AutoDesk Plant 3D for routing piping and process piping
• 3-10 years of experience with Navisworks for clash detection
• 3-10 years of experience with Point Cloud for 3D scanning
• 3-10 years of experience with Revit, IFC, data interoperability for mechanical system integration
• 3-10 years of experience hands on scanning and coordinating equipment/piping (Scan-BIM)

Plusses: 

Experience with ASME, ANSI, or similar.
