About the Role:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support laboratory testing and data generation for Regulatory Analytical Sciences residue studies.
  • This position involves assisting in the receiving, weighing, and extraction of samples to support product registration and the development of biologically active research chemicals.

Pay Range - $25 - $28 an hr.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the receiving, weighing, and extraction of samples within a study.
  • Perform experimental laboratory operations including sample shipments, sample receiving, consumable ordering, and solution preparation.
  • Prioritize daily work to meet strict deadlines and study timelines.
  • Interact regularly with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and automated systems such as liquid handlers.
  • Conduct lab support tasks following specific protocols, including sample processing, aliquoting, extraction, and assay maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, including balances, genogrinders, centrifuges, gas chromatographs (GC), high-performance liquid chromatographs (HPLC), and mass spectrometers (MS).
  • Collaborate with instrument and equipment owners and the Lab Operations team to minimize downtime and maintain system performance.
  • Follow all laboratory safety protocols and adhere to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and complete records of all lab activities and data
  • Prepare and maintain supporting documentation in compliance with GLP and study-specific guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in a science-related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Preferred Skill & Experience:

  • General knowledge of chemistry and laboratory procedures.
  • Familiarity with LIMS and automated lab systems is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of GLP regulations.
  • Hands-on experience in quantitative sample weighing, extractions, and clean-up techniques from complex agricultural matrices.
  • Experience with LC-MS/MS techniques for small molecules is highly preferred.
  • Ability to conduct accurate research and deliver finalized data in a time-sensitive, high-throughput environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team including regulatory scientists and technical staff.
