Duration: 03 Month

Pay Range: $18 - $19/HR

Shift Hour: Mon - Fri from 11:30 AM – 8:00PM and 8:00 AM – 4:30PM

About the Role:

• We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Coding Specialist.
• In this role, you will be responsible for accurately coding and processing medical claims, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations.
• This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems, as well as the ability to quickly adapt to new concepts and instructions. 

Responsibilities:

• Accurately code and process medical claims using CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding systems.
• Review and interpret explanation of benefits (EOBs) to ensure proper coding and billing.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines and other relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve coding discrepancies and improve processes.
• Stay updated on changes in coding standards and healthcare regulations.

Education:

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification in medical coding is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong familiarity with healthcare terminology.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new concepts and instructions.
• General knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding, and modifier usage.
• In-depth understanding of explanation of benefits (EOBs).
• Understanding of all HIPAA guidelines.
