Must-haves:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 5-9 years of SQL Server DBA experience managing large number of SQL databases including SQL 2022,2019, 2017, 2016, 2014, 2012
- Windows/SQL clustering experience
- Strong SQL and T-SQL scripting
- Performance tuning skills
- Hands-on skills in SQL Clustering, Replication, Log shipping, Always-on availability groups
- Hands-on experience in Database Backup and Restore technologies
- They use Cohesity, but any tool is fine
- Database auditing knowledge and SOX controls
- Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills, aptitude and disposition to be an SME
Day-to-day:
- Supporting their current SQL server upgrade project
- Assisting in production support
- Will not be on call unless needed
- Working alongside two DBAs that sit in Lehi
- Slight interfacing with the business
