Title: Infrastructure Engineer/Senior Linux/Solaris Systems Engineer
Duration: One year +Extensions
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week
Location: Toronto, ON- 5X/Month Onsite (Wednesday every week, and 3rd week- Wednesday and Friday’s)
Interview Process: 1–2 rounds (Onsite in Toronto, ON)
Compensation: $70-$75/hour
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Red Hat Linux and Solaris systems (10, 11, 11.4)
- Build and troubleshoot Ansible playbooks and automation workflows
- Manage Red Hat Satellite and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP2)
- Handle patching systems, image management, and OS configurations
- Work with Veritas Storage and Cluster Server (VCS)
- Create and manage shell scripts (Bash, KornShell)
- Automate infrastructure processes and integrate with ServiceNow
- Support clustering technologies (Pacemaker, Veritas)
- Work across teams to coordinate infrastructure projects and solutions
- Guide projects without formal PM responsibilities (project leadership)
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of system administration experience with Linux and/or Solaris
- Proficient in Ansible: capable of writing, debugging, and maintaining playbooks
- Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP2) / Red Hat Tower
- Experience with Veritas Storage and Veritas Cluster Server (VCS)
- Strong scripting ability (Bash, Korn Shell)
- Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
- Familiarity with project-based infrastructure work from implementation to delivery
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with SE Linux
- Hands-on with LDOMs and CDOMs
- Familiarity with integrating Ansible and ServiceNow
- Knowledge of HTAP platforms or logical directory applications
