Job Description (Summary)

• Design, deploy, and manage robust virtual infrastructure solutions using VMware technologies including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and HCX.

• Provide engineering and operational support for virtual environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to virtualization, networking, and storage layers.

• Optimize system configurations and workflows to improve infrastructure efficiency and reliability.

• Stay up to date with the latest VMware advancements and contribute to infrastructure modernization efforts.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and infrastructure projects.

Must Haves

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a VMware Engineer.

• Expertise with VMware versions 6.x, 7.x, 8.x or higher.

• Proficient in vSphere, NSX or vSAN, and HCX.

• Strong background in infrastructure engineering and operations support.

• Proven ability to manage and optimize complex virtualized environments.

Plusses

• Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python for automation and task efficiency.

• Familiarity with VMware cloud solutions or hybrid infrastructure setups.

• Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation in virtual environments.
