About the Role:
We are seeking a Technician to join our team, primarily working remotely with an initial onsite training period of approximately two months in Grand Rapids. This role involves inputting Low Voltage Electric design work orders into a GIS Mapping System. We are open to candidates from various parts of lower Michigan, preferably those within commuting distance to Grand Rapids.
Responsibilities

Input Low Voltage Electric design work orders into a GIS Mapping System.

Communicate with internal customers and interpret design orders and records.

Interpret electric work orders while maintaining confidentiality.

Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and provide technical support as needed.

Follow all safety rules and procedures, contributing to the safety of co-workers and the general public.

Assist in training co-workers and cooperate with other employees and customers.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Demonstrate effective communication and cooperation, promoting an open exchange of information, respect, high ethical standards, and professionalism.
Education Qualification

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Additional technical training or certification in a related field is preferred.
Required Skills
-
At least one year of experience as a Technician in a specialized technical area such as drafting, electric design, CAD, or GIS.

Ability to perform complex tasks of a technical/scientific nature under general supervision.

Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Proficiency in using GIS Mapping Systems and related software.

Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with others.

Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean work environment.

Flexibility to work normal hours from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime.
