Job Title: Chart Retrieval Specialists
Location:  Hybrid Newark, NJ 07105
Duration: 6+ Months (Potential of Extension)
 
Pay Range: $28/hr to $33/hr without bnefits and PTO.
 
About the Role:
The position is responsible for physician outreach, relationship management, issue identification, and problem resolution related to the release of medical records. The role involves serving as the primary member of a team responsible for supporting chart retrieval collection throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the key external-facing member of a cross-functional/divisional team assigned to manage chart abstraction for providers and facilities.
  • Inform and educate providers and physicians on chart collection activities and foster provider relationships.
  • Respond to provider inquiries, resolve issues, and increase chart retrieval volumes.
  • Educate and interact with physicians to ensure cooperation and understanding of chart retrieval projects.
  • Alert leadership to potential issues and opportunities identified through physician contact.
  • Stay updated on healthcare industry trends and developments.
  • Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and assembled in standard orders.
  • Meet productivity expectations for collection of medical records.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Receive and process chart requests, ensuring integrity of chart retrieval database and quality audit controls.
 
Education Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in lieu of a degree required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare experience, preferably with provider or client focus/interaction.
 
Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and New Jersey physician community.
  • Strong PC skills including MS Office.
  • Basic navigation and knowledge of clinical EMRS systems (Allscripts, Epic, E-clinical works, Nextgen are a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, time management, and ability to balance multiple projects.
