Title: Project Scheduler
Location: Remote- Michigan  (Local to Michigan Candidate ONLY)
 
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Project Scheduler to organize, implement, and maintain a scheduling management system to support identified projects and their plans. The ideal candidate will assist in setting up tasks and sub-tasks to ensure the satisfactory realization of project contract requirements as scheduled.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Organize and maintain the scheduling management system for projects.
  • Assist in setting up tasks and sub-tasks to meet project contract requirements.
  • Log project timelines and maintain the P6 database of tasks and their status.
  • Input new information into the P6 database and provide scheduled reports for contract coordination and reporting.
  • Interact with project staff and stakeholders to schedule work and coordinate assignments.
  • Design and develop project schedules.
  • Collaborate with project teams and contractors to define the scope of work and update detailed schedules.
  • Identify variances from the original plan and evaluate project schedule progress and performance.
  • Analyze critical paths and constraints to determine the effect of changes to the schedule and recommend alternative work paths.
  • Develop and update weekly schedules in collaboration with superintendents, field engineers, and project managers.
  • Support the project management team in maintaining effective change management processes.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
  • Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
 
Education Qualification:
  • A minimum of a High School Education is required.
  • Candidates with an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Master's Degree will be considered favorably.
 
Skills:
  • Proficiency in PRIMAVERA and MS Excel.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with project team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to participate fully in project and department meetings.
  • Understanding of P6 environment operations, including knowledge of layouts, activity codes, resources, group & sort, and reporting.
  • Experience with change management, project management, critical path, and scheduling.
 
Additional Skills:
  • Knowledge of Schedule Quality practices in regards to P6 schedules is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Project Gating procedures is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in Gas & Electric Distribution and Transmission projects is a plus.
  • PMP or other PMI certification is beneficial but not required.
  • PSP, CST, or other AACEI certification is beneficial but not required.
