Position Details:

Position: Cryptography SME

Location: Charlotte, NC or Addison, TX and Chicago, IL

Pay Range: $75 - $80/hr.

Duration: 12-18 Months (Possibility of Full-Time Conversion)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Cryptography Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. This role requires deep expertise in cryptography and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and multiple application development teams. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical proficiency with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the cryptography expert across multiple projects and teams.
• Provide technical guidance on cryptographic solutions, standards, and implementations.
• Engage with stakeholders and application development teams to ensure alignment with security requirements and best practices.
• Translate complex cryptographic concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and risk assessments.

Must Have Skills:

• Senior-level experience working with cryptography, encryption algorithms, key management, and related technologies.
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting multiple application development teams, offering cryptographic expertise throughout the SDLC.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide well-informed, technical answers on cryptography topics.
