About the Role:

We are seeking a System Engineer with extensive Unix/Linux experience to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and providing daily operational support for various enterprise servers.

This role requires strong technical skills in troubleshooting within highly critical environments, a deep understanding of operational excellence, and proficiency in customer service and communication.
Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and support Unix/Linux servers

Troubleshoot events in critical environments

Provide excellent customer service and communication

Document processes and procedures thoroughly

Identify and implement opportunities to improve existing processes
Education Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 7/8/9 server administration

Proficiency in shell scripting
-
Understanding of Active Directory and authentication mechanisms such as QAS, SSSD, etc.

Strong knowledge of storage and memory concepts
-
Strong network troubleshooting skills
-
Familiarity with BMC Remedy and ITSM environments

Experience with Netcool and Atrium Orchestrator automation tools

Experience with BladeLogic

Ability to document processes and procedures thoroughly

Desire to improve existing processes
