Position: Terraform Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Pay Range: $75 - $78/hr.

Duration: 12-18 Months (Possibility of Full-Time Conversion)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Terraform Developer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role requires deep expertise in Terraform and cloud infrastructure provisioning, along with strong experience in DevOps/CloudOps environments. We are specifically looking for senior-level talent who can take the lead, guide junior team members, and drive infrastructure automation best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to build, configure, and debug Terraform code and modules.
• Create detailed technical specifications for proposed infrastructure solutions, including timelines and scope.
• Gather configurations from existing infrastructure (Servers, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Applications) and translate them into Terraform-managed code.
• Test infrastructure modules created using Terraform to ensure stability and performance.
• Establish frameworks to ensure collaboration across departments for seamless delivery.
• Analyze current technologies and develop steps to improve infrastructure efficiency and reliability.
• Document and monitor requirements to implement proposed infrastructure changes, focusing on enhancing customer experience.
• Collaborate with project management teams to monitor implementation progress, manage risks, and proactively address challenges.

Must Have:

• Hands-on expertise in creating, using, and debugging Terraform code and configurations.
• Strong experience in testing infrastructure modules created with Terraform.
• Proven background in DevOps and CloudOps, including provisioning and configuration management tools.
• Ability to gather and migrate existing infrastructure configurations into Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to mentor junior engineers and provide technical direction.
