Position Details:

Position: ETL Tester

Location: Pennington, NJ and Jersey City, NJ

Pay Range: $55 - $60/hr.

Duration: 12-18 Months (Possibility of Full-Time Conversion)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior QA Tester with a strong background in ETL and SQL Testing to join our dynamic data team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in validating complex data pipelines, working with DB2 databases, and possess a solid understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem. This role is critical in ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and quality across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive ETL testing to validate data extractions, transformations, and loading processes.
• Develop and execute SQL queries to perform rigorous data validation and integrity checks.
• Analyze and validate data in DB2 systems and assist in identifying data discrepancies.
• Understand and test data workflows in Hadoop architecture, including HDFS, Hive, and related components.
• Collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to gather requirements and provide testing coverage.
• Design and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Report, track, and manage defects; participate in defect triage meetings.
• Contribute to process improvements and testing best practices.

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) with a focus on ETL and data testing.
• Strong expertise in SQL and complex data validation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 or other relational databases.
• Working knowledge of Hadoop technologies (HDFS, Hive, etc.).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
