About the Role**
We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler to lead database design efforts. This role involves working closely with product owners to understand requirements and designing data models that align with data warehouse standards. The position is available in Charlotte, NC and Kennesaw, GA.
**Responsibilities**
- Serve as the lead data modeler, reviewing and approving all database design changes.
- Collaborate with product owners to understand and refine requirements.
- Analyze datasets to validate requirements, identifying components and their relationships.
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet requirement specifications and data warehouse standards.
- Support development and testing efforts.
- Maintain an inventory of data models and work to address any gaps.
- Ensure timely delivery of all documentation and design activities.
- Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency in Sybase Power Designer, Oracle Exadata, and MS SQL Server.
- 5+ years of experience in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models using industry-standard data modeling software such as PowerDesigner or erwin.
- 5+ years of experience with Data Warehouse, Data Mart, or Business Intelligence applications.
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle, Oracle Exadata, SQL Server, or other industry-standard database platforms.
- Expert knowledge of Star/Snowflake and Third Normal Form (3NF) data modeling methodologies.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
