Job Title: Support Engineer II
Location: Redmond, WA (On-site)
Duration: 12 months (potential conversion to FTE)
Pay rate : $29 - $30
 
Job Summary:
The Support Engineer II will be responsible for assembling propulsion systems and supporting manufacturing processes to improve build efficiency. This role requires close collaboration with multiple engineering teams to ensure quality and timely production of hardware components. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment and demonstrates a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage workstation turnaround times to meet production schedules.
  • Follow quality control policies, document calibration and maintenance activities.
  • Identify and resolve problems affecting test performance or notify supervisors promptly.
  • Adapt quickly to schedule changes and respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Review process work output for quality and adherence to standards.
  • Participate in daily team meetings and shift reporting.
  • Support safety standards and ensure compliance with operational protocols.
  • Build and test subsystems using blueprints and work instructions.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Aircraft & Powerplant certification/license, automotive certification, or equivalent technical certification/Associate degree.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings/documentation.
  • Experience handling FOD-sensitive, ESD-sensitive hardware, and cleanroom protocols.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) software.
  • Adaptable to changing roles and responsibilities in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of relevant aerospace or automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical assemblies, final integration, or harness integration.
  • Experience working in fast-paced production environments with flight hardware.
  • Skilled with precision torque and inspection tools (e.g., torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers).
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
