Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual compensation for this position is between $105000 – $245000 per year. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Day to day:
- Represent clients including insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers.
- Draft and prepare client correspondence and legal pleadings.
- Attend court appearances as required.
- Manage and maintain case calendars.
- Conduct depositions and cross-examinations, including those of medical professionals.
- Negotiate settlements for workers' compensation files and lien claims.
- Proactively manage caseloads to ensure efficient progress.
- Mentor and supervise legal assistants.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
- Participate in marketing events with both new and existing clients.
- Review and work on case files, accurately entering time into billing software.
- Input and update case information in PracticeMaster.
- Ensure all deadlines are met for client correspondence.
- Attend client file review meetings.
- Conduct training seminars for clients on updates in workers' compensation case law.
- Maintain current knowledge of workers' compensation case law and statutes.
Must haves:
- 3+ years of experience practicing Workers' Compensation law.
- Active membership in the California Bar is required.
- Track record of successfully advocating on behalf of insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers.
- Skilled in preparing professional correspondence for clients.
- Familiarity with drafting legal pleadings.
- Proven ability to effectively negotiate settlements for workers' compensation files and lien claims.
- Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degrees
