The team is handling a heavier workload than usual, with new data centers coming online and a smaller staff than needed.
The project

Support rack delivery and installation in new data centers

PHX53: Established DC – relocate racks to different locations
-
PHX56: Brand new DC – install racks in data halls
What you’ll do day-to-day
-
Install and prepare server racks
-
Scan devices, print and apply labels
-
Manage vendors and coordinate delivery schedules
-
Use Excel, Outlook, and project management tools to track work and create cut sheets for vendors
-
Run and manage cabling (fiber optic and copper)
-
Provide white-glove service during installations
Physical requirements
-
Lift up to 40 lbs occasionally (anything heavier will be team-lifted)
-
Safety shoes required – composite only (steel-toe shoes set off security alarms)

Possible reimbursement for safety shoes pending manager confirmation
Who you’ll work with
Manager started as an individual contributor in the Arizona data center, completed the IC2M leadership program, and now leads the delivery team for all Arizona hiring.
Must-haves
-
Cabling and server rack intake experience
-
1+ year in a data center environment
-
Fiber optic and copper cabling installation, testing, and troubleshooting skills
-
Ability to work with patch panels and patch cords
-
Open to candidates with an Associate degree in IT and 6+ months DC experience
-
Military background considered if experience aligns with cabling, racks, or fiber optic work
-
Strong vendor management and customer service skills
