Job Description:  

Client: Banking  

Position: Mainframe Developer 

Duration:  12 months    

Location: Jersey City, NJ 

Payrange: $53-56/hr 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Maintain and support the mainframe zShadow Direct environments.
• Collaborate with vendor utilities to support business functions.
• Perform software implementation, maintenance, and certification testing.
• Develop and document operational procedures.
• Conduct problem debugging and root cause analysis.
• Interact with software vendors for troubleshooting and support.
• Participate in off-hours and weekend work, including 24 x 7 on-call support rotation.

Technical Skills: 

• In-depth knowledge of supporting zOS mainframe infrastructure.
• Experience with zShadow Direct or similar products like DB2 CONNECT.
• Proficiency in DB2 DBA skills, utilities, including DB2 Utilities and SQL.
• Proficient in JCL and vendor utility programs.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for interfacing with developers, support teams, vendors, and management.
