• Develop and maintain data engineering solutions using AWS (Glue, EMR, PySpark)
• Participate in agile ceremonies and execute tasks independently within an Agile SDLC framework
• Ensure code is clean, readable, and well-documented
• Perform root cause analysis for operational incidents
• Engage in mentoring, coaching, and promoting a culture of learning and professional development
• Act as a liaison with business partners and peer IT teams
• Drive continuous improvement and foster innovation through experimentation

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development
• Undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Advanced experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred; C++ and Java are assets)
• Hands-on experience in AWS Data & Analytics stack, especially:
• AWS EMR
• AWS Glue
• Lake Formation
• Airflow
• PySpark
• Strong understanding of version control, testing methodologies, and Agile development practices
• Ability to work independently, frame problems clearly, and think critically about business and technical challenges

• Experience working in an investment or capital markets environment
• Exposure to risk systems or analytics platforms
• Passion for mentorship and enabling team growth
• AI interest/ experience
