Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Rack installation

Rack preparation

Device scanning
-
White glove service
-
Vendor interactions and management
-
Printing labels
-
Using computer, Excel, and Outlook for emails

Project management and creating cut sheets for vendors

Cabling work
Physical Requirements:
-
Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. If it is more than 40 Ibs they will par or do group lifts or get assistance

Safety shoes required for this role. No steel-toe shoes needed, as they will set off the alarm and require the employee to remove them for security scanning. Only composite shoes are allowed.

Must-Haves:
-
Cabling experience and server rack intake experience
-
1+ year of data center experience
-
Fiber optic and copper cabling, testing equipment, and troubleshooting skills
-
Ability to install, test, inventory, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, including patch panels and patch cords
-
Open to candidates with an Associate degree in Information Technology and 6 months of DC experience
-
Military/army/marines background considered if relevant to cabling, server racks, or fiber optic environments
-
Personal service and vendor management skills.
