About the Role
- The Tax QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and functionality of tax forms within tax software.
- This role involves testing tax forms to verify that previous year’s tax return data transitions correctly to the current year, ensuring all corrected defects are functioning as intended, and confirming that forms calculate accurately according to instructions.
- The Tax QA Analyst will simulate the customer experience within the tax software, utilizing all available tools to achieve these objectives.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute tax returns for use in ongoing testing.
- Verify that tax forms function correctly for Rollover functionality.
- Ensure all fixed defects operate as intended.
- Confirm that forms calculate accurately according to form instructions.
- Identify, document, and report any defects encountered during testing.
- Re-test forms to ensure corrections on previously reported defects are effective.
- Manage the testing status of multiple forms throughout the testing process.
- Communicate effectively with different members of the development team and collaborate in a team environment.
Education Qualification
- High School/GED.
Required Skills
- Strong desire to work in a Quality Assurance role and deliver quality results.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Windows OS.
- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
- Strong math skills.
- Strong reading comprehension and ability to utilize reference materials.
- Detail-oriented with good analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good decision-making skills and ability to work under deadlines.
- Good organizational and multitasking skills.
- Self-managing with a highly motivated work ethic.
- Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in tax preparation, tax development, or tax QA.
Additional Information
- Online testing will be part of the interview process and requires a laptop with MS Office and Windows OS.
- Interviews conducted on mobile phones will not be accepted.
- Equipment will be provided for the actual assignment.
