About the Role:
- We are looking for individuals to join our Care Access and Monitoring (CAM) team to provide clerical and data entry support for Client Members requiring hospitalization and/or utilization review for healthcare services.
- This role involves verifying benefits, processing requests, and triaging members to ensure high-quality healthcare services are delivered according to State and Federal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide computer entries of authorization request/provider inquiries by phone, mail, or fax
- Verify member eligibility and benefits
- Determine provider contracting status and appropriateness
- Assign billing codes (ICD-9/ICD-10 and/or CPT/HCPC codes)
- Verify inpatient hospital census-admits and discharges
- Respond to authorization requests submitted to CAM via phone, fax, and mail
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance continuity of care for members
- Contact physician offices for missing information or additional details as requested
- Provide excellent customer service for internal and external customers
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Participate in team meetings and meet productivity standards
Education Qualification
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
