- This role is central to the software development lifecycle within the loan originations domain, focusing heavily on bridging business needs with technical execution and ensuring comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders and users to gather, understand, and refine requirements for loan origination software applications.
- Translate complex business needs into precise technical specifications.
- Own and meticulously maintain documentation across the entire development process, including creating and evolving epics, detailed user stories, use cases, and workflows.
- Translate requirements into clear, testable acceptance criteria and partner with stakeholders to ensure proper validation.
- Proactively manage the backlog in Jira, ensuring work items are prioritized, "development-ready" for current and upcoming sprints, and stale work is removed.
- Own the user story creation process from initial concept through to being ready for development.
- Technical Expertise & Domain Leadership:
- Serve as a subject matter expert, demonstrating a deep understanding of credit reporting and automated bill payment solutions in daily tasks.
- Regularly navigate and query databases to extract and analyze relevant data for various purposes.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration by working closely with developers, QA engineers, and business analysts.
- Organize and present knowledge in collaboration tools (wikis) to ensure it's accessible and easy to navigate.
- Provide ongoing technical support and expertise throughout the software development life cycle.
- Identify and promptly troubleshoot technical issues related to loan origination systems.
- Propose and implement effective solutions to optimize system performance and enhance user experience.
- 5+ years of proven experience in technical analysis and support for application software development, specifically within the financial sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Technical Communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Domain-Specific Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of credit reporting mechanisms.
- Deep understanding of automated bill payment solutions.
- Strong expertise in loan origination processes.
Salary and Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $45 - $55 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
