Position: GTD-5 Telecom Engineer

Day to day:

• Troubleshoot GTD-5 switch issues and resolve hardware faults
• Answer and resolve customer calls related to circuit packs and alarms
• Walk customers through changing circuit packs, down to the slot/shelf level
• Handle escalations and analyze trouble tickets in Jira
• Provide translations and call processing support
• Mentor junior team members when needed
• Maintain proper ticket documentation and updates
• Be available for on-call rotations every 3rd week 

Must haves:

• 5-10 years of GTD-5 switch troubleshooting experience
• 5+ years overall telephony troubleshooting experience
• Strong hardware troubleshooting and fault isolation skills (Tier 3 level)
• Call Processing and Translations experience (GTD-5 environment)
• Familiarity with central office procedures and policies
• Jira (ticketing) experience
• Ability to guide customers step by step on changing circuit packs
• Strong customer service orientation; able to work directly with clients and vendors
• Able to work a 7x24 rotating schedule, including on-call every third week
• GTD-5 debugging, translations, and troubleshooting
• Hardware troubleshooting (circuit packs, shelves, slots)
• Proficiency in Windows-based tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)

Salary and Compensation:
The base annual salary for this position is between $80,000 - $100,000 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
