Job Title: Java Developer with AI
Location: Charlotte, NC 28255
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 day in office, 2 day remote)
Client Industry: Banking / Financial Services
Duration: 12 Months Contract (with possible extension)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours
Pay Range: $65 – $70 per hour

About the Role
In this role you will design, build and deploy intelligent agent-based solutions leveraging MS 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and custom AI agents. You will partner with product, design and data science teams to integrate large language models, microservices and backend APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end AI agent solutions using Copilot 365, Copilot Studio and agent-tech frameworks
• Develop and maintain backend services in Java (Spring Boot, Micronaut or similar) and microservices architectures
• Integrate with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) to host AI models, data pipelines and containerized services (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize ML/LLM models, handling model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG and embedding stores
• Build secure, scalable RESTful APIs and event-driven workflows to support conversational and autonomous agent scenarios

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience building AI/ML solutions: LLM integration, prompt engineering, embeddings and RAG
• Development experience with Java and microservices
• Proficiency with MS 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio or equivalent agent-tech platforms
• Strong knowledge of Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services), Kubernetes, Docker
