Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 day in office, 2 day remote)
Client Industry: Banking / Financial Services
Duration: 12 Months Contract (with possible extension)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours
Pay Range: $68 – $73 per hour

About the Role
A large financial client is seeking a highly skilled External Cloud Engineer to join the Application Solutions & Engineering team. This role is focused on delivering new cloud technologies and guiding platform adoption across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering expertise across AWS and Azure.
  Design, build, and support cloud platforms using Terraform Linux, and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with platform, governance, and application teams to onboard applications into external cloud environments.
• Act as the SME for onboarding, external cloud enablement, and container adoption (OpenShift).
• Ensure proper governance, security, and compliance in all cloud-related activities.
• Support enterprise-level initiatives introducing new external cloud technologies (no migrations).
• Drive communication and collaboration across teams to ensure smooth adoption of services.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of cloud engineering experience.
• Proven expertise in AWS and Azure.
• At least 3–5 years hands-on experience with Terraform and DevOps (CI/CD).
• Strong background in Linux administration.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across enterprise and governance teams.
• Hands-on experience with both implementation and design of enterprise-scale cloud solutions.
• Prior experience in the financial services industry is required.
