About the role:

We are hiring an RPG Developer to join our client on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the most innovative Banking companies in the U.S.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience with iSeries/AS400 development
• Strong in CL (Control Language)and RPG (Free and/or IV)
• Experience with job scheduling, file handling, and debugging
• Comfortable working with DB2 and structured data queries
• Familiarity with integration to modern systems or APIs is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Day to Day:

• Design, develop, and maintain programs using CL, RPG IV/Free, and related tools on the iSeries platform
• Collaborate with business analysts and other developers to gather requirements and deliver reliable solutions
• Optimize existing batch jobs and workflows for performance and scalability
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure stability of mission-critical systems
• Support data processing tasks and file transfers across systems using tools like FTP, Autosys, and DB2
• Document code, processes, and technical decisions clearly

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $60 - $65/hr
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
