Role Overview:
- The team is responsible for building and maintaining a data platform and data engineering solutions to deliver data products to the business.
- This includes providing self-serve services, portals for data discovery, and tools to enable users to interact with data.
- As the Tech Lead, you'll guide a squad of developers (mix of front-end and back-end, spread across onshore and offshore teams.
- You'll provide hands-on technical leadership, mentor/coach the team, interface with stakeholders (including the product owner), resolve technical issues through coding, and contribute to a year+ roadmap.
- Strong full-stack development experience is highly desired, along with expertise in system design/architecture, strategic decision-making, and team mentoring.
Must-Have Requirements:
- 7+ years of hands-on web development experience, including 1-2 years as a team lead or in a similar leadership capacity
- Technical expertise in Software Engineering, with proficiency in one or more of: Java, .NET, Spring Boot, etc.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Proven experience in Systems Architecture and Design, including leading/participating in design discussions and communicating effectively with stakeholders
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools, automation tools, testing tools, and various frameworks
Key Responsibilities (Daily/Weekly):
- Lead the developer squad technically: mentor, coach, and ensure processes align with requirements.
- Jump in for hands-on coding to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and the product owner to define and deliver features.
- Contribute to building a long-term (1+ year) roadmap for the data platform.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across onshore/offshore teams.
