About the Role
- This position involves processing invoices and providing customer service support within the accounts payable department.
- The role requires attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Review approved check requests for proper GL coding and approvals.
- Examine invoices for required information and accuracy.
- Prepare and process invoices and PO invoices for A4P processing.
- Validate scanned invoices and ensure populated fields match invoice information.
- Manually enter or correct missing information.
- Retrieve and review invoice output files for vendor and invoice accuracy.
- Correct and import any invoices that were not initially imported.
- Review invoice batches to ensure completeness. - Enter PO details and match PO invoices for release.
- Research and resolve discrepancies between PO and invoice information.
- Communicate with Purchasing buyers for assistance as needed.
- File open invoices and review T&E's for appropriateness before releasing for payment.
- Conduct in-depth research in AP and/or GL and OnBase to respond to inquiries.
- Communicate effectively with employees and vendors.
- Report unresolved issues to the supervisor and proactively address problems.
- Follow up on open issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Prioritize tasks to maintain high productivity and support team members.
Education Qualification
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Required Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service focus.
- Professional interaction with vendors and internal customers.
- General to intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to quickly learn new software applications.
