Title: Data Engineer
Duration: 6 month contract + opportunity to extend
Location: Toronto, ON- 4x/week onsite
Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: $60-$65/hour
Interview Process: 2 Rounds- Virtual and Inperson
Day-to-day:
- Hands-on Python development and data engineering, building and maintaining pipelines that support the IBOR initiative.
- They will work closely with the lead engineer and two existing data engineers to deliver scalable solutions, while contributing to DevOps processes such as CI/CD and automation.
- The role requires applying capital markets knowledge to ensure technical solutions meet trading and business requirements, while remaining collaborative, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Must-Haves:
- Strong data engineering background
- Python development expertise
- Capital markets knowledge/experience
- Strong growth mindset – interested and open to learning
- Data Mapping, Databricks, SQL, and python, AWS cloud experience
Pluses / Nice-to-Haves:
- DevOps experience (CI/CD, automation, cloud integration)
- Prior experience with IBOR or Murex platforms
