Job Title: Intermediate Business Analyst Specialist – Capital Reporting / SACCR / SFTs

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3-4 Day Onsite)

Contract Length: 6-Month Contract (High Likelihood of Extension)

Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: $70-$80/Hour  

Day-to-Day:

• Partner with upstream and downstream teams to connect data sources and ensure alignment across reporting flows.
• Drive requirement-gathering sessions, translate regulatory expectations into deliverable business logic, and manage documentation.
• Lead UAT efforts, including test execution and coordination with impacted teams.
• Act as the central point of contact for capital reporting logic validation and project coordination.
• Provide ongoing support to ensure that capital values generated for Market Risk and SFTs are accurately captured and calculated.

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within a banking or capital markets environment.
• Deep understanding of Capital Reporting, SFTs (Securities Financing Transactions), and Derivatives.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including:
• SACCR (Standardized Approach for Counterparty Credit Risk)
• CAR (Capital Adequacy Requirements) — particularly for derivatives and SFT treatments
• RWA (Risk-Weighted Assets) and AED (Advanced Exposure Data) concepts
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidelines to capital and risk data logic.
• Advanced Excel skills — able to manage, analyze, and reconcile large data sets.
• Strong business documentation and requirement-gathering skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Highly self-driven, proactive, and capable of working autonomously with minimal direction.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis.
• Exposure to ARTRIX Workflows, Python, or other automation tools.
• Prior experience supporting capital management, regulatory reporting, or counterparty risk projects within a Tier-1 bank.
• Familiarity with UAT coordination and end-to-end project lifecycle management.
