The Medicaid Claims Analyst is responsible for managing the Medicaid Drug Rebate process — including claim validation, dispute resolution, payment processing, and compliance with CMS guidelines and rebate contract terms. The analyst ensures timely, accurate payments and supports audits, system upgrades, and ad hoc reporting.
- Review and process state Medicaid invoices and claim data files.
- Validate claim-level details and identify disputes as per CMS rules.
- Research and resolve state disputes; recommend accurate payment amounts.
- Perform quarterly data reviews, uploads, and reporting using Model N or Revitas/Flex Medicaid systems.
- Maintain documentation and provide analytical support for audits and upgrades.
- Collaborate with state agencies and internal teams to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree/ High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must Have:
- Pharmaceutical industry experience (minimum 2+ years).
- Hands-on Medicaid rebate and claim processing experience.
- Proficiency in Revitas/Flex Medicaid or Model N systems.
- Advanced Excel and large data set management skills.
- Strong analytical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with CMS Medicaid rules, 340B entities, and state-specific programs.
