Title: DevSecOps Security Analyst
Type (Contract, C2H, Perm): Contract – 6 months, possible extension
Location: Toronto, ON in office on Tuesday’s and every 2nd Friday (5x per month)
Shift/Core Hours: 37.5
Compensation: $50-$55/hour
Interview Process: 2 Rounds (1- Virtual and 1-Inperson)
Day to day responsibilities:
- Work with various development teams
- Working with various CI/CD tools
- Write automation scripts for security and DevOps tasks
- Incident handling experience, this is collaborative work with DevOps teams, there is triaging work and figuring out what’s needed to integrate to the tool, how to integrate tools with them.
Must-haves/key skills needed:
- 3-4 years working knowledge of DevOps experience
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with security scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube, Snyk, Checkmarx, Fortify)
- Strong scripting or automation background (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and secure coding practices
- Ability to collaborate with development and security teams
- Experience with integration tools on DevOps pipelines (any tool)
Pluses/education/certifications:
- Networking experience - Firewalls, operating system work, .work with linux, windows, mac and diff CI/CD like Azure DevOps, GitHub Action runners, also ServiceNow
- Cloud exposure - Azure experience is desirable
