About the Role:

We are seeking a technically skilled Event Management Specialist with hands-on expertise in Cloud Pak for Watson AIOps and a strong understanding of modern DevOps practices. This role serves as a critical bridge between event management and intelligent IT operations—driving automation, observability, and AI-driven insights to enhance system reliability and performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, tune, and support Watson AIOps components including event manager, topology, and AI-based correlation.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to integrate event management into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments.
  • Develop and maintain event ingestion pipelines from diverse monitoring tools and infrastructure sources.
  • Design and implement automation and remediation workflows leveraging Watson AIOps capabilities.
  • Analyze event noise, identify recurring patterns, and continuously refine event correlation and suppression strategies.
  • Lead and support the transition from legacy systems (e.g., Netcool, NOI) to Watson AIOps.
  • Maintain clear and updated documentation for event flows, integrations, and operational procedures.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Pak for Watson AIOps, including event management, topology, and runbook automation.
  • Strong knowledge of event management principles, monitoring, and observability tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and integrations.
  • Working knowledge of Kafka, REST APIs, and webhook-based integrations.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Cloud) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

 

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $65 – $70 per hour

This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
