Title - Data Modeler

Location – Hybrid San Antonio, TX 78288

Rate range – $50-$55

Key responsibility:

• Translate or convert a logical data model into a physical data model.
• Defining the physical table, columns, primary keys, foreign keys, data types, constraints, and relationships within a chosen database.
• Tune the physical data model considering factors like indexing strategies, etc.
• Generate database schema creation scripts (DDL) to deploy the physical database design for the target database.
• Experience in reverse engineering to generate physical models from an existing database or database scripts.
• Analyse existing data structures to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Understanding of different data modelling techniques (relational, dimensional, hierarchical) and their application in different scenarios.
• Proficiency in using a data modelling tool (Erwin) to visualize and document the physical database design.
• Collaborate with database administrators to implement data models in database systems and optimize performance.
• Good communication skills to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
   

Good to have – Conceptual Data modelling and knowledge of Industry models such as IIW, BDW, FSLDM, and Acord
