Job Description:
  • This position is in search for a skilled Part107 certified operator with extensive experience operating drones via a Remote Control.
  • This individual will also conduct limited operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed.
  • The role will also require cross team training to support teams such as (but not limited to) delivery sites for pre-launch tasks.
 
Day to Day:
  • Travel- will be out of the state up to 100% of the time
  • Remote control drone piloting
  • Data Collection
  • Working a night shift- 3 pm-11:30 pm- possibility of implementing a day shift
  • Work in volatile weather conditions- Snow- all within the established safety thresholds.
  • Drive to offsite work locations daily (work vehicle will be provided).
  • Work variable shifts and schedules including weekends when applicable.
  • Schedule changes frequently depending on certain daylight conditions.
 
Must Haves:
  • 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • 2+ years of commercial drone piloting experience (bigger commercial drones).
  • Employees must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Experience with commercial UAS industry
  • Must be able to fly in more than just manual mode (DGI will not be enough)

FYI – This is a six-month contract role based in Seattle, where the training will take place. Consultants will begin in Seattle for the first 2–3 weeks, covering their own lodging. After training, they will be deployed to another location in the U.S., with their flight, lodging, car rental, and a $70 daily meal allowance provided. They will not return to Washington after the training period.
