Job Title: HR/Employment Assistant
Location: Austin, TX-78759
Duration: 06 months + (Extension/Conversion will be based on the performance)
Pay Range: ($19-$20.32) hourly
Key Responsibilities

Advise managers and employees on state and federal employment regulations, collective bargaining agreements, compensation and benefits policies, personnel procedures, and classification programs.

Evaluate job positions to determine appropriate classification, exemption status, and salary ranges.

Prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales.

Assist in creating and maintaining personnel files, employee handbooks, and other HR documents.
-
Generate reports such as organization charts, workflow diagrams, and career path reports to support job analysis and compensation evaluations.

Review, organize, and update historical employee files to ensure proper labeling and compliance with retention requirements.

Develop and implement a structured filing system for employee records, HR SOPs, and policy documents.

Collaborate with HR team members to validate and align policies and SOPs with organizational standards.

Determine the appropriate platform (portal, SharePoint, etc.) for publishing approved documents.

Ensure all document management processes comply with company policies and legal standards.

Recommend improvements for document management and retention strategies.

Assist in preparing documents for upload into the Workday HRIS system.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support smooth transitions and documentation workflows.
Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively.

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
