About the Role : 

We are seeking a Gas Transmission Engineer to support transmission pipeline projects across Indiana and Ohio. This role includes engineering oversight, project coordination, onsite construction involvement, and collaboration with engineering and construction vendors. The work includes both office and field responsibilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the full lifecycle of gas transmission projects, from scope development to completion.

  • Work with engineering firms, contractors, and internal teams to execute pipeline projects.

  • Oversee onsite construction, inspections, and field activities.

  • Assist with material requisitions, bidding, contractor oversight, and project tracking.

  • Ensure compliance with federal pipeline regulations, including PHMSA DOT Part 192.

  • Review engineering deliverables and manage multiple active projects.

  • Identify risks, improvement opportunities, and efficiencies throughout execution.


Required Qualification: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical preferred)
  • Experience with construction oversight or field engineering work
  • Project management exposure in utilities, energy, or infrastructure
  • Knowledge of pipeline construction, engineering methods, and safety
  • Familiarity with federal pipeline standards (PHMSA DOT 192 preferred)

Preferred (Not Required): 

  • Gas transmission or gas utility experience

  • Experience working with EPC firms

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or active progress toward licensure
