Client: Azure Databricks SME
Duration: 12 Months possibility of 2+yrs of extension
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid onsite) M5E1G4
PayRate Range: 55/hr - 75/hr
Must haves:
- 7-10+yrs of Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, including PySpark-based data processing, optimization, and performance tuning in production environments
- Proven expertise in ETL development and data pipeline architecture, including building scalable data lakes and end-to-end pipelines on Azure
Solid programming experience using Python, Scala, and SQL for Databricks and Spark-based development - Hands-on experience with Azure data services, including Azure Data
- Factory (ADF), Azure SQL Database, and Azure Blob Storage / ADLS
- Experience handling production and confidential data, including data obfuscation, masking, or anonymization techniques
- Working knowledge of DevOps practices, including GitHub, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar), and ability to document solution designs and operational playbooks
