Job Summary:
- This Scientist role supports drug discovery programs within a pharmaceutical research environment.
- The position focuses on immunohistochemistry execution to support target validation and pharmacology studies.
- The scientist will contribute high quality data through precise laboratory execution and documentation.
- This role requires strong collaboration with pathologists and cross functional research teams.
- The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced laboratory setting with strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine single plex and multiplex immunohistochemistry on research samples.
- Execute immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization using the Leica Bond Rx platform.
- Support multiplex studies using the Lumiphores COMET platform.
- Maintain accurate documentation using laboratory tracking and data management systems.
- Collaborate with pathologists and project teams to deliver reliable and timely data.
- Follow established protocols and support process optimization and troubleshooting.
- Manage multiple laboratory tasks while ensuring compliance with quality standards
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Biology Chemistry or related scientific discipline.
- Hands on immunohistochemistry experience in pharmaceutical biotechnology or CRO environments.
- Working knowledge of immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization on Leica Bond Rx.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Excel Word PowerPoint and OneNote.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Immunohistochemistry certification.
- Three to five years of experience in a histology or pathology laboratory.
- Experience troubleshooting immunohistochemistry assays and optimizing results.
