Job Title: Teradata Architect
Location: Plano, TX ; Charlotte, NC 
Work Arrangement: 3 day in office with 2 day WFH
Client Industry: Banking 
Duration: 12 -18 months Contract 
Schedule:  Monday to Friday 
About the Role:
The Teradata Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance data solutions using Teradata technologies. This role includes defining enterprise data architecture strategies, building data models, and ensuring optimal database performance for analytics and reporting platforms. The architect will partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT teams to deliver robust data platforms that support organization-wide decision-making.
 
Core Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Architecture:

  • Lead the design and architecture of enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata.

  • Develop integration strategies, optimization techniques, and performance tuning solutions.

  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.

  • Develop reusable Python scripts for automation, data transformation, and data validation tasks.

Platform Strategy & Governance:

  • Evaluate Teradata platform capabilities and create strategic technology roadmaps.

  • Establish platform standards, data integration patterns, and governance frameworks.

  • Conduct Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives for new platform features and onboarding pilot projects.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical guidance on Teradata utilities, performance tools, and best practices.

  • Optimize query performance, indexing strategies, and workload management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient architecture and integration.

Data Management:

  • Oversee ETL/ELT pipelines and data migration activities.

  • Ensure high data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Implement data lifecycle management, metadata governance, and documentation standards.

Compensation 
Hourly Rate: 68$-72$ per hour 
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
