About the Role:

We are hiring a Teradata Architect to join our client’s enterprise data and analytics team on a long-term contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major data modernization initiative within one of the most innovative financial services organizations in the U.S. You will play a key role in architecting and optimizing large-scale data platforms that support critical analytics, reporting, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture of large-scale enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata.
  • Develop robust solution designs, integration strategies, and performance optimization approaches.
  • Build reusable Python scripts for automation, data validation, and transformation workflows.
  • Evaluate platform capabilities, define technology roadmaps, and support proof-of-concept efforts.
  • Establish data platform standards, governance frameworks, and integration patterns.
  • Provide technical leadership for Teradata tools and utilities, including workload optimization and query tuning.
  • Oversee ETL/ELT processes, data migration, and upgrade initiatives.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and adherence to regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, architecture, and analytics teams to drive seamless end-to-end data solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Teradata Architect, Teradata Developer, or similar technical role.
  • Strong expertise in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) concepts, dimensional modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Teradata utilities such as TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad, and MultiLoad.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or SAS DI.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience working on data migration and platform upgrade projects.
  • Preferred: familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), big data tools (Hadoop/Spark), and Teradata Vantage features.
  • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $65 – $70 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
