About the Role
This position involves assembling mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures. The role requires working with assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to assemble various components such as drawers, chassis, enclosures, and racks. The position involves complex assignments where judgment and initiative are essential in resolving problems and making recommendations. The role also includes performing hand soldering, wire harnessing, and cabling on assembly units, as well as conducting routine tests and documenting results.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures.
- Work with assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Perform hand soldering, wire harnessing, and cabling on assembly units.
- Conduct routine go/no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Set up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods.
- Document test results and maintain logs and records of malfunctions.
- Perform repair work as necessary and other duties as needed.
Education Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Skills
1. Production experience with vocational experience in mechanical assembly.
2. Ability to work from established drawings and experience in soldering, wire-wrapping, and cable harnessing.
3. Proficiency in using hand tools and testing equipment.
4. Ability to set up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods.
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with good soft skills.
