Job Title: Observability Engineer

Location: Plano, TX/Jaersey City, NJ
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Client Industry: Banking 
Duration: 12 -18 months Contract 
Schedule:  Monday to Friday 

Must haves: 

Observability Engineering & Delivery:

• OTEL Implementation: Proven success in the delivery and maintenance of production-scale OpenTelemetry (OTEL) environments, including complex collector deployment and configuration management.

• Instrumentation Fundamentals: Expert, hands-on experience designing and managing the core pillars of observability: metrics, logs, traces, and attribute design.

• Routing Logic: Mandatory experience implementing and configuring advanced data routing logic, including at least one production-ready use case (e.g., multi-destination trace routing).

• Developer Enablement: Ability to design and write a comprehensive Developer Onboarding Framework, defining coded pathways, clear standards for attributes, configuration, and integration paths.

• Knowledge Transfer: Proven ability to perform effective knowledge transfer to internal teams to ensure long-term support and ownership of the deployed solutions.

Tooling & Collaboration:

• Backend Expertise: Familiarity and practical experience with key observability backends, including Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Tempo, and Grafana.

• Governance: Strong collaboration skills and experience working with development and infrastructure teams within large, governed organizations

Compensation 

Hourly Rate: 68$-73$ per hour 
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
