Title: Electrical Fabrication Designer
Duration: 6-month contract (++Possibility of Extension)
Purpose:
We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Fabrication Designer to support client’s electrical system design and fabrication initiatives. This role is 100% focused on Revit and requires a seasoned designer who can model electrical elements with precision and coordinate across multiple disciplines. You will create detailed, clash-free models to LOD400, ensure compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC), and lead model review meetings using Revizto (or Navisworks).
You’ll work on multiple projects simultaneously, owning the design process end-to-end with guidance from senior engineers. Responsibilities include modeling cable trays, conduit bodies, and supports (threaded rods from beams), routing electrical systems from point A to point B, and ensuring proper coordination with architectural and structural elements. After design completion, you’ll run beam reviews and fly the model for stakeholders to confirm accuracy and clearance.
Must Haves:
- 5–7+ years performing electrical fabrication design and 3D modeling using Revit
- 5–7+ years applying NEC standards (wire pulling, 90° bends, sizing pull boxes/conduit bodies based on wire sizes)
- 5–7+ years creating LOD400 clash-free models and using Revizto or Navisworks for visualization and coordination
- 5–7+ years coordinating across multiple disciplines and leading model review/flythrough meetings
- 5–7+ years managing multiple projects and delivering accurate, detailed designs under tight timelines
Plusses:
- Familiarity with construction coordination and field verification
- Advanced design experience and ability to quickly learn new visualization tools
